Back at it again

So my last visit was this past Thursday. Doc says I'm healing nicely, and everything is where it should be. He also said I could drive, which my wife was very fussy about for the past two weeks.

Rightfully so. Coming off of that concussion was no picnic, and driving with only one arm is a real pain.

But once I got that greenlight, I wasn't going to let myself sit around anymore. Monday morning I was back at the gym - to the surprise of everyone, which surprised me because I wasn't there to tell anyone what happened.

Ok, I told my trainer why I had to postpone our sessions. Makes sense that they talk.

Of course I have a two-pound limit on my right arm, so... leg day, leg day, and (hold on) oh look, more leg day. And left arm day. I can do back extensions. Half of my workout has become a challenge. Meanwhile at work that limit means I can't do... most of my job. I can do paperwork.

Fortunately I'm good at that. But looking at my paperwork, there's so much that needs to be done that I would normally be doing (I like getting my hands dirty), that's not getting done because I can't do it.

Alright - the priority stuff is getting done, but I like being ahead of schedule. Far ahead of schedule. It gives me a cushion that allows for things like getting into accidents and being unable to come in to work for two weeks. But that gap is narrowing, and it's making me antsy. Trouble is, if I try to push myself, I'll probably hurt myself. The last thing I need is a lecture from the eleven women I work with. Because they'll do it.
